Finally got around to making a new wallpaper. It's an another Evanescence one. Kind of feels weird calling it an Evanescence one when it only has Amy Lee on it, but I've had a few other wallpapers like that, and she is the face of the band. Anyway This was from a recent photo shoot, she is currently working on new material and so all us fans are keenly waiting what will be an apocalyptic awesome album. I got the idea for the title from Evanescenceville who had as their caption for a while "Waiting for the Next Magic." I took a lot of time with this one and got regular feedback from Dale while I was working on it until we felt that it's finished. I really liked how the colours turned out for this one. I've been wanting to make a Lily Allen wallpaper all summer, and I experimented with different effects and styles to try new things. It kinda didn't go any further than there, I lost the files and got busy, but today however (while I was re-coding this whole wallpaper section) I had the sudden urge to make a Lily Allen wallpaper. Already knew how it will look in my head and re-used the background and some effects from Illustration assignment of a book cover I did at the start of the year, I then had this done by the end of the day. The funniest part was coming up with the title. I have my cousin staying over and she helped come up with a few suggestions. First being "Not Fair" because she thought it wasn't fair that I could go to the concert and she couldn't (because she's under age.) The second finalized title was "Guess Who Batman" which Lily fans already know what that is about. Then we played Uno (best out of three) to see which title would win.

I did this watercolour portrait of Amy Lee last year to top of my Illustration portfolio, and then I turned it into a wallpaper for the fan group Amy's Army. I painted this of when she did the live performance of her cover of "Sally's Song" and played the harp for the first time. It was fun to do for the day and the group were very happy with it. I would like to turn more original artworks into wallpapers and layouts in the future.

So yay I finally finished off a new wallpaper. Been meaning to do something for months and I have been gradually working on this in my little spare time. I got the inspiration for this at Tafe when my friend Mel was creating a 60s theme business card. The frustrating thing about this was the text, I didn't know what to do to make it tie in with the rest of the wallpaper. So today I decided to play around with it and got some inspiration from Drake Bell Central and here it is all finished. Hope you enjoy.

I really like how this turned out, and how some of the other wallpapers I made for that group turned out too. Another exclusive wallpaper I made for an Evanescence fan site Among The Ashes. I didn't like The main image of Amy much on the other one, so I took it off to see what it was like, but then I couldn't decide which one worked and which didn't, so alas two different wallpapers. I'm liking this one better, but some people might like the other one better.
