Ichabod1799 originally came from the 1999 film "Sleepy Hollow" directed by Tim Burton. It was my favourite film back then and it still is today. If you don't know much of the film, it's an old classical ghost story set in the early settlement of the town of Sleepy Hollow (which is a real place, that does exist,) which is being haunted by a headless ghost figure on horseback. In the original story Ichabod is just a teacher new the the town who has a the misfortunate of disappearing one night. In the Tim Burton film however Ichabod is an investigator sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of decapitations.
Ichabod is a hebrew name meaning "The Glory Has Departed."
The 1799 part of the title comes from the year the Tim Burton film was set in. When first registering the name as an email address Ichabod was taken so it was decided to add 1799 on the end. It seems amateurish and people have that misunderstanding with the web site, I wish I could re-title it to maybe Echabod but I've already created all this now and people are accustom to the name.
When people talk to me they always have a funny way of pronouncing Ichabod, some same it as Ishabod. It's more like "Eck-ah-bod." The H is silent. The numbers, because their a period of a certain time are pronounced as "Seventeen - Ninety Nine."
Feel free to link me. You don't need to ask me and there are some banners for you to use in the Link to us section.
Although if you want to affiliate with me, you need to contact me first. I will have to check out your site, see what I think of it and get to know you first. But don't be afraid to give it a go. I am open for affiliation but a little picky of who I choose.
Well there are many simple ways of doing that. First click on the thumbnail or the title of your selected wallpaper, so the proper larger image loads up. Once that has loaded up; for PC users right click on it and select "set as background." The other way is to right click on it and select "save picture as" and save it to your computer's wallpaper folder (which is usually the "My Pictures folder".) If you have done it that way, then minimize or close everything so just the Desktop is loaded on your screen, right click select "properties" and once that has loaded up to the background properties use the options to find your wallpaper and select it.
For Mac users, click on the thumbnail or the title of your selected wallpaper, once the proper larger image has loaded drag the image to your desktop. In the Control Panel, go to Appearance then choose Set Desktop and select the image you dragged to the desktop.
In your computer's display settings wherever they're located, usually for PC users in the desktop properties. Once the background properties have loaded change the picture display to stretch. Or you could change your screen resolution to the same size as the wallpaper.
They're just created out of thin air. Some days awesome wallpapers just appear on this site. No seriously, currently I'm only using Photoshop CS2. As the wallpapers get older so do the versions of Photoshop, eg CS, 7.0, 5.0. The really early wallpapers such as "She Saved the World A Lot" and "Ghosts of the Desert" were done with ArcSoft Photostudio 2000.
Now I try to make them come in many sizes, if I feel they are good enough for it. But originally the wallpapers came in one size because having multiple sized files would eat up so much room on this site then I couldn't update so often. Also because when some of those wallpapers were made five years ago the larger screen sizes today didn't exist back then.
So you're using one of my wallpapers as your profile background whether it be on Myspace, Friendstar, Youtube etc, and it doesn't load up when you and others view your profile? Busted! Seriously what you have done is called Direct Linking and it's a form of theft. I have put up a script that makes images only load up on this site and no where else. This is to encourage people to stop Direct Linking from here. Please upload the file onto your own server or Photobucket account and link it from there.
These are probably a few simple coding errors. I admit I'm not perfect, I'm not a robot I am a human being, which means that there are always going to be mistakes, especially since new browsers keep coming out and old browsers keep updating themselves. I am aware that some layouts aren't perfect but I'm not aware which ones and I don't have the time to go through every single one and test it and fix it up. I have my own life to live. Feel free though the fix them up if you want to use them.
Midis, Music Instrument Digital Interface (I think) are very small music files which are made on a home computer which is why they sound funny and lack singing/lyrics. They are mostly created for background music to help singers or for web site background music, for home made video games or sheet music creation.
Various places, I am sorry I only credit most of them; I lost most of the web sites where I originally found them. The Zelda and other video game midis came from VgMusic.com. Some of the Buffy ones came from Foxxed Slayer and the Buffy Musical ones came from Safalra.com. A lot of Evanescence and No Doubt midis came from Midisite.com (which is a great place to search for any midis you want). Most television and movie theme midis came from TV Timewarp.
I have made them with my intelligence and knowledge of how to read sheet music and sometimes it helps having a program called Anvil Studio.
Check your player's settings (either Media Player or Quick Time), make sure under file types that midi is selected.
Yes and it's really simple to do. First open your Itunes library and import the midi file you wish to have on your Ipod. Then select that file in your library and right click on it and go "convert selection to ACC." It will take a while but soon a duplicate of the midi file appears. Delete the original midi if you wish and then the next time you update your Ipod it will put it straight on there.
